Have you always wanted to learn to surf, or just want to try something new? Let us introduce you to flowriding, which is a super fun combination of surfing, skateboarding, and wakeboarding. You may not have heard of it, but Flowriding is a growing sport: in fact, there are over 200 flowrider machines in 35 countries around the world, including here in Thailand. Cartoon Network Amazone water park is one of many Pattaya attractions, but the only one where you can try flowriding. So read on if you want to be introduced to your next adrenaline rush!
How Hard Is It?
Flowriding is essentially surfing, but in a continuous stream of fast-moving water. Like any sport that requires balance and agility, flowriding takes lots of practice. You will fall down a few times when you’re a beginner flowrider, but when you fall, you land on a soft pad and are swept back by a shallow stream of water. Luckily, flowriding is extremely safe and injuries are very rare: it’s much safer than surfing on the ocean.
The first big milestone for a flowrider is learning how to balance on the board. However, learning how to balance is just the first step of the flowriding journey. Once you’ve mastered that, you can advance to doing awesome tricks like these! If you’re serious about improving at the sport, we offer flowriding lessons at our Pattaya water park that are given by instructors with some serious skills on the flowrider. If you get good enough, you might even be able to make it to the annual World Flowboarding Championships.
It’s One Of The Most Exciting Pattaya Attractions
Cartoon Network Amazone has been crazy about flowriding from the very beginning. In fact, members of our staff have children who are ranked among the best flowriders in the world and have pro sponsorships with apparel companies like Rip Curl! (You might even see them practicing the next time you come to the park!) When you come to Pattaya, swing by and try flowriding at our Surf Arena: of all the fun Pattaya attractions that we offer, there’s nothing else like it. It’s a major rush in more ways than one!
